Why is "evil" sexy?
This is because it is a signal of intelligence and/or power. Evil cannot be sustained without intelligence and/or power. A person cannot be consistently evil without possessing power and/or intelligence.

There is good intelligence and bad intelligence(same with power).
Inventing something is good intelligence. Plotting a mass killing is bad intelligence.
Ruling a country is good power. Sadistically abusing a submissive wife is bad power.
Evil is not considered sexy. It just shows the other person/system is dumb.
